MICHAEL D. STEIN
Mr. Stein is a commercial litigation attorney with broad experience in
business disputes and employment related litigation. He received his
Bachelor of Arts degree in 1983 from the University of California, Los
Angeles, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He received his Juris Doctor degree
in 1987 from the University of California, Boalt Hall School of Law,
where he served as an Associate Editor on the California Law Review.
Additionally, in 1986, Mr. Stein served as a judicial extern for United
States District Court Judge Edward Rafeedie in Los Angeles. Mr. Stein is
licensed to practice law before all California State Courts, before all
United States District Courts in California, before the United States
Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the United States Supreme
Court. Since 1991, Mr. Stein has served as a Judge Pro Tem for the Los
Angeles Municipal Courts.
Mr. Stein has represented a varied array of clients in matters ranging
from construction defect, Securities Act issues, commercial contract
disputes, real estate related litigation, franchise disputes and, for
the last several years, Mr. Stein has represented both individuals and
business entities accused of wrongful termination by former employees in
Federal and State Court.
Mr. Stein is a frequent speaker on a variety of legal subjects and has
presented educational programs for the last several years at the State
Bar's Annual Convention. Mr. Stein is an adjunct faculty member at
Pepperdine Law School and Loyola Law School, has self-published various
training manuals for new attorneys and is an on-going consultant for
legal training materials published by Continuing Education of the Bar on
all facets of pre-trial and trial practice. |
